A workshop to learn practical aspects of astrophotography and much more. Astrophotography is photography of astronomical bodies and celestial events including stars, the moon, the sun, planets, asteroids, galaxies and areas of the night sky. In this workshop, we will learn and practice photographing night sky, including star trails, milky way etc.

About Chakrata Uttarakhand : Chakrata is a cantonment town and also a sub district/ Tehsil, in Dehradun district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers, at an elevation of 2118 m, 98 km from the state capital, Dehradun. Distance from the city and very inhabitants makes it a light pollution free zone perfect for astrophotography.

Cost Includes:

• 1. 2 days Astrophotography Workshop with Canon Experts
  2. Exposure to latest canon cameras and lenses
  3. Photography guidance and review by an expert mentor
  4. Accommodation for 2 nights
  5. 2 bottles packaged water daily
  Meals: Full board (from lunch on day 1 till breakfast on day 3) during the entire stay.
  6. All transfers and sightseeing by Toyota Innova / Tempo traveller (from arrival Dehradun on 12th Feb till departure from Dehradun on 14th Feb)
  Assistance of a local guide / tour manager.

The cost doesn’t includes:

• 1. Any train or airfares
  2. Any sightseeing or excursion that is not mentioned in the itinerary.

DSLR (preferably full frame) camera, spotting scope / telescope with T-ring, Wide angle lens, Suggest to carry a tele lens, A sturdy tripod, Sufficient batteries, charger for your camera / flash, Extra memory cards / external hard drive / storage drives, Laptop, Dust cover is recommended.
